A Wonderful Birthday. As a party of 4, my parents took my husband and I to the restaurant. My mother was the only one who'd been before, and she relayed her previous experience as "pretty good".

She was really underrating the place! I truly consider myself a "foodie", and have pretty high expectations. I ordered the Mustard Encrusted Salmon, which literally melted in my mouth. Absolutely the best salmon i've ever had, with perfectly cooked vegetables and a great wild rice pilaf. Mom had the Tilapia Picatta, dad ordered the pot roast, and my husband got the Delmonico steak. As I type this he's saying how delicious it was, even with the glace (which , as a man with simple tastes, is saying a lot). Everyone was so satisfied with what they ordered, no one even asked to sample anyone else's!

The waitress and hostess was nice, no real complaints there. Very nice environment, casual and relaxing.

Just nitpicking, it kind of sucks you don't choose your appetizer salad. What you get is a small salad with dried cranberries and cherries, walnuts, red onions, and a housemade balsamic vinagerette (tasting rather mustardy). It was tasty, but I really just wanted a simple dinner salad.

Oh, and for my birthday, I got a free brownie- ice cream thing :-D

Need alot of training with customer service. We were a party of 16, 4 different family's. We waited over 2 hours for our food after the server told us that she forgot to put our order in. At no point were we offer free appetizers nor did a manager come to the table to apologize. One of us were interested in their 3 mini desserts and wanted them to be all the same and was told no. And than after waiting 2 hours some of the food came cold. Than after the server screwed up she had the nerve to add 18% tip to all the checks. Even though she sucked, she screwed herself because I always tip 20%. I've worked in the restaurant business for years and this is NOT the way to treat customers and if you add a tip to my check, I take that as an insult. Food was good and different but because of our our service, I will never go back.

Not for everyone. you won't see black waitress ,bar tender , or any minority that has any contact with the public . just in the kitchen.

Wild Game, Fresh Meats, Yummy Fish, Great Beer the Redwood Lodge has it all!. Redwood lodge first of all is the best looking restaurant in the area, it's decorations give you a feel of awe! The menu is large including pasta, stone-oven pizza, Meats, Fish and gourmet appetizers. Also there are usualy very good specials. Meats include every steak you can think of, deer, buffallo, ostrich and many more, some of these might just be available on special nights.

The Beer is great, they brew their own and usualy have about 10 on draft and 2-3 seasonal beers.

The service is always great and you usualy always have a manger come by and ask how the food is.

For most entree's you'll get a gourmet salad (various greens, blue cheese, nuts, dried cherry's in balsamic), you will get some bread with a yummy oil mixture.

Desserts are great too, but some are a little small for their price.

If you plan on going there on the weekends then you should definently call ahead or make reservations on opentable. Weekends they sometimes have magician's or baloon artists going from table to table to perform.

The stone-oven pizza is the best i've ever had, home-made dough with several cheeses, roasted onions and thick slices of grilled steak baked together with some ranch... it's unbelivable good!

I highly reccomend going here, but be warned it's very pricy but worth the expense!

Check out their website for special occations
