Best steak in 40 years. Anniversary dinner for my wife and I [# 12] Great atmosphere, barn wood interior, very clean. Staff was exceptionally personable. Didn't push us through. Dinner took 2 1/2 hours. Great history w/ GM and the city of Flint. Food was perfect, beginning to end. Had steak cooked for 2 right @ our table...cooked by the owner. Honestly, the best steak I've had in 40 years.

Best food in Flint. The food at the Red Rooster was unbelievable. I started with their signature Gratinee. The french onion soup was the best I have ever had and with crusty bread and a blend of cheeses melted on top, it couldn't have been any better. For dinner I tried had the pepper crusted filet mignon. It tasted so good and they cooked it right at my table. It was fun to watch it being cooked. They cooked the filet and then made a pan sauce right there in the dining room. I must say that this was the best dinner I have had in a long time and the best meal I have ever found in the Flint area. The staff was so helpful, with every server and even the owner taking care of us and keeping our drinks full and cold. They make a perfect martini.
